Neha Kakkar: “We don’t get paid for singing in Bollywood at all”

With the music industry booming bigger than ever, one would think singers are laughing all the way to the bank. However, during an interaction with the media, Neha Kakkar revealed that singing songs for the Bollywood Industry don’t give them a pay cheque.

“We don’t get paid for singing in Bollywood at all. What happens is they feel that if we give a superhit song, the singer will earn through shows,” IANS reported the singer stating.

She went on to add,”I get a good amount from live concerts and everything, but Bollywood doesn’t have this scene. To make us sing a song, they don’t pay.”

Like many, Kakkar has a huge fanbase worldwide, where she has been able to sell out venues as big an arenas. However, currently with a lockdown in place, the singer is not letting her fans down and is gracing them to a few posts on her Instagram account where, though it doesn’t help pay her bills, still enables her to connect with the audiences.
