‘Neerja’ & ‘Aarya’ director Ram Madhvani launches own production house

Ram Madhvani began his journey in the Indian film industry with the hit ‘Neerja’ – the Hindi film was nominated in every category in the awards season of 2017 in India. Ram won Best Director and Best Film in the three most important award functions in the country and the National Award for Best Feature Film (Hindi).

In his illustrious advertising career, Ram Madhvani has created some of the most memorable commercials, Happydent for which he was awarded the Silver Lion at the Cannes Festival in 2006 and Airtel Har ek friend zaroori hota hai.

Ram Madhvani forged a successful path for himself in the world of feature films with an impressive directorial debut with the film ‘Let’s Talk’ which premiered at the esteemed Locarno Film Festival.

The song “Bheja Kum” from the path-breaking film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and the official theme song for the TV series ‘Satyamev Jayate’ are two music videos he directed for Aamir Khan. Ram directed ‘Everlasting Light’ a documentary that featured Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and was showcased at the Lincoln Center in New York. He also helmed a short film – ‘This Bloody Line’ for the publication India Today on the momentous occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the partition of British India.

This year, Ram Madhvani is all set to make his mark as a producer and director of feature films, web series, short films with his production house, Ram Madhvani Films. He shares his vision for his new banner and says, “Ram Madhvani Films has been established with the need of telling various stories through feature films, web shows, and short films. We are looking forward to collaborate with versatile writers, showrunners, directors and producers, especially in the long format area. We intend to bring the best work forward and entertain the audience.”

Currently, Ram Madhvani is co-producing and co-directing the Hotstar Special ‘Aarya’ even through the lockdown while he also continues making commercials.
