NDTV to launch new channel – globally

Indian news broadcaster NDTV will be launching a new channel by September 2006, which will launch simultaneously go live in India, UK, US and Canada. According to the website TelevisionPoint, the channel has been named ‘NDTV Nation’. However programme details at this stage were unavailable. It is also yet to receive information on the channel�۪s target audience, airtime rates and launch date. NDTV launched NDTV 24/7 late last year and has proved a success with international audiences. NDTV 24/7 was the UK’s second English speaking Asian news channel after ZEE Network’s South Asia World, which has now been rechristened as CNN-IBN.
