NDTV sends legal notice to Discovery over ‘Foodistan’

NDTV has issued Discovery Networks International with a legal notice, accusing it of trademark violation.

According to The Economic Times, Discovery has misapropriately used the title of food reality show ‘Foodistan’, which aired on NDTV Good Times in January 2012. Similarly, rival Discovery launched a show with the same name for a cookery show on the TLC channel.

The notice has asked TLC to drop the name ‘Foodistan’ on-air and online to further its business.
