NDTV has let bygones be bygones and re-subscribed to the Indian TV audience measuring body, TAM.

After their public spat last year and legal wrangling, NDTV re-subscribed to TAM data last month. The main reason was because the audience figures help advertisers in seeing how effective their campaigns are on the channel.

KV Narayan Rao, Executive Vice Chairperson, NDTV told Exchange4Media, Basically, they had stopped giving data relating to NDTV to advertising agencies, which was beginning to affect the revenues.۝

The troubles started in July 2012 when NDTV filed a law suit alleging The Nielsen Co had many flaws in its viewing data system. NDTV had sought damages amounting to a minimum of $1.3 billion $580 million for negligence, a minimum of $810 million for fraud and more on a variety of other causes of action, including legal fees from the Nielsen group, Kantar group, TAM Media.

A New York court dismissed the lawsuit.
