NDTV planning to launch new channels in UK?

NDTV is reportedly set to launch two new channels in the UK on the Virgin Media platform.

According to sources, NDTV is planning to launch Hindi news service, NDTV India, as well as an unknown lifestyle channel. Both channels are expected to be available exclusively on Virgin Media to accompany existing offerings – NDTV 24×7 and NDTV Good Times. NDTV India will give competition to other players Aaj Tak and ABP News – both of whom target the Hindi speaking news audience.

Unlike other Asian broadcasters, NDTV has formed some sort of an agreement with Virgin Media for exclusive carriage. Since its launch on Virgin Media, NDTV Good Times has remained available only Virgin Media, even though there was talk initially to take the service to Sky also.
