NDTV India & NDTV Spice to launch in UK

In a further update to BizAsiaLive.com‘s initial news piece last month, NDTV is indeed launching two new channels in the UK market.

According to Ofcom licences, the channels will be known as NDTV India and NDTV Spice. While the first channel is the Hindi news equivalent to flagship service, NDTV 24×7, the second channel is a brand new service. NDTV Spice is expected to sit under the NDTV Lifestyle brand, similar to NDTV Good Times. As NDTV Spice does not currently exist in India, it would be interesting to see what they are planning to offer on the service.

The new channels are expected to launch exclusively on Virgin Media, to accompany NDTV 24×7 and NDTV Good Times – the latter, which is already available exclusively on the platform.
