NCLAT refuses to halt ZEE-Sony merger

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has refused to grant a stay on the merger between ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited and Sony. However, a hearing in court has been listed for 8th January 2024.
Axis Finance and IDBI Bank had challenged the merger in the NCLAT, according to MoneyControl.
The report states that NCLAT cannot stay the same without hearing the case. It also noted that the merger is subject to the orders of the court.
