Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife withdraws divorce notice

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife Aaliya Siddiqui have been fighting for separation after she filed for divorce last year. Now, according to latest reports, and after months of a public divorce battle, Aaliya has withdrawn her request for divorce.

She had initially accused the Nawazuddin and his family of physical and emotional stress, reports Times of India. However, reports go on to say that Aaliya is now looking to sort things with Nawazuddin’s brother Shamaz Siddiqui, as well as being ready to reconcile with Nawazuddin.

She was cited in the publication saying, “I was down with COVID, and Nawaz not only took care of the children, but also me. This was despite what I said about him. He kept our differences aside and looked after me. Whenever I have been under stress, he has always helped me. This pandemic was an eye-opener. I realised what matters the most is the well-being of your children and good health. Our children need us, and if their happiness lies in us being together, we can keep our disagreements aside. I have withdrawn the legal notice that I had filed. I don’t seek divorce anymore, and I want to give this marriage a chance.”

The couple returned to talking terms after a year, hinting at a reconciliation on the horizon.
