Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s next release on hold?

With the #MeToo movement taking Bollywood by storm, recent news revealed Nawazuddin Siddiqui was the latest name to be targeted. Due to this, the makers of his forthcoming film ‘Ghoomketu’ have pushed back its release date in order for this to clear up.

According to Deccan Chronicle reports his ex-beau Niharika Singh who has named and shamed him, where she expressed, “I tried to push him away but he wouldn’t let go. After a little coercion, I finally gave in. I wasn’t sure what to make of this relationship,” adding that the actor told her that he’d always wanted a ‘Miss India or an actress wife’.”

Further reports have it that season 2 of Siddiqui’s Netflix series ‘Sacred Games’ will also be postponed due co-producer Vikas Bahl being dropped from the production house Phantom Films.

Though Siddiqui has been called out for acting inappropriately, there have been some who have come out in his defence, stating that the accusation made against him is not #MeToo.  His co-stars Kubbra Sait took to social media and expressed, “A relationship gone sour, isn’t #MeToo someone needs to recognize the toxic difference before we go picking sides. I stand by #NawazuddinSiddiqui or #Nowaz as a man. “
