Currently in the midst of shooting for Kabir Khan’s’Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will have to miss attending the Cannes Film Festival this year, where his first production film will get screened during the event.

Marking his debut as a producer with a short film titled ‘Miyan Kal Aana’, Siddiqui won’t be able to attend the festival as the shoot for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ had been delayed. Directed by brotherShamas Siddiqui, the actor is very proud of the achievement.IBN Livereported Sidduiqui (Nawazuddin) expressing, “I feel bad on not attending the festival this time however I am happy that my film has gone there. It will be my first film as a producer and my brother Shamas who has directed it has done a brilliant job. I am happy for him. Even if I won’t be going there physically I’m glad our film, our thoughts are out there.”

The delay of Khan’s film came due Salman Khan’s court trial as well as weather conditions which prevented the crew from shooting for many days. There has been no mention as to what the fate of the film will be now that Khan (Salman) has been sentenced to five years in jail.
