Nawazuddin Siddiqui home from hospital; denies having dengue

For a few days, it has been said that Nawazuddin Siddiqui was admitted to hospital with dengue. However, the actor – who has since been discharged – has denied any truth in the reports.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Siddiqui said, “I had a throat infection, so I was hospitalised. But now, I am feeling much better. I will resume work soon.”.

Siddiqui was believed to have been shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s next and, as he was in a semi-conscious state, he was heard at the hospital mouthing dialogues as if still in character, an insider told the publication.

Siddiqui’s brother described the occurrence, “Even other patients in the ward were shocked, since they hadn�۪t seen anything like that before. After an initial check-up, Nawaz was shifted to a separate room in the hospital”.
