Nawazuddin Siddiqui does not feel overshadowed by SRK in ‘Raees’

As reported by BizAsiaLive.com and in social media, Rahul Dholakia’s next film, ‘Raees’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan, has been in the news, since the public caught first sight of the film via its trailer.  So far, Khan has been seen as the main artiste via the promotions, but Siddiqui plays the role of a police officer, ‘Mazumdar’ in the film.

Recently, according to Pinkvilla, Siddiqui spoke to the media outlet about working with Khan, “It was amazing shooting with Shah Rukh Khan. We have a lot of scenes together and I enjoyed doing it because if you have a co-actor who is genuinely and honestly reacting then half of your job is done. As you say, acting is a give and take relationship.”

He continued to explain that he has not been overshadowed by Khan’s role, “This not even Shah Rukh wanted. My character has been given proper respect. While doing the scenes together, we were not Nawaz or Shah Rukh. He was Raees and I was Mazumdar. There was no question of overshadowing. You’ll see the honesty between us onscreen.”
