The sequel to Aankhen۪ (2002) is definitely on its way to being made. It۪s already been said that Amitabh Bachchan will be reprising his role but now it۪s emerged that Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been approached for the film too.

Anees Bazmee directed the first instalment and will be making the forthcoming second part too. A source revealed to TOI, To be directed by Anees Bazmee, barring Amitabh Bachchan, the original cast of the film (Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal) won’t be repeated. While it has been reported that Anil Kapoor and John Abraham have been roped in, Nawaz is the latest to have been approached to join the cast. He has heard the narration and the makers are keen on having him on board. While the story will be new, the three lead characters will remain blind this time around as well.”

Siddiqui is yet to decide about the offer. The source added, Nawaz is considering the role but is yet to sign the project. He will take a call once he is back from Kolkata۝.

Bachchan and Siddiqui are shooting for TE3N۪ together too which is produced by Sujoy Ghosh and also stars Vidya Balan.
