Nawazuddin brother’s bail plea rejected in Aaliya Siddiqui molestation case

After a molestation case filed against Shamasuddin Siddiqui by his brother’s (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) wife, Aaliya Siddiqui earlier this year, Shamasuddin had appealed for an anticipatory bail, which has now been rejected by the Dindoshi Sessions Court.

Nawazuddin’s family has been stuck in controversies for a while. After the actor’s wife filed for a divorce from him, his niece spoke out against sexual abuse that she suffered from one of Nawazuddin’s brothers, Minazuddin Siddiqui. Soon after, Aaliya registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Nawazuddin’s other brother Shamasuddin, accusing him of alleged molestation.

The FIR stated that the accused (Shamasuddin) hassled the complainant (Aaliya) in absence of her husband (Nawazuddin), and also stalked her. Following the FIR, Shamasuddin had applied for an anticipatory bail. Pinkvilla reveals that this was rejected by the Dindoshi Sessions Court on the 14th of September 2020.

Aaliya’s adovcated, Yash Vyas shared, “Shamasuddin’s anticipatory bail application has been rejected at Dindoshi sessions court on the grounds that his custodial interrogation is required as per the facts of the case.” When asked if Shamasuddin would be arrested soon? Vyas replied, “We will let the law take its due course. We have approached the police and informed them that his ABA has been rejected.”

Nawazuddin has been unavailable when asked to comment on the matter.
