Nargis Fakhri & Huma Qureshi confirmed for ‘Azhar’

When the first teaser of Ekta Kapoor produced ��Azhar�۪ was launched, it was said that Nargis Fakhri may not be playing the role of Sangeeta Bijlani in the Mohammad Azharuddin biopic. However, it�۪s since emerged that the actress has now signed on the dotted line to play Bijlani. Not only that but Huma Qureshi will also be in the film in a role based on Jwala Gutta.

Azharuddin�۪s first wife is already being played by Prachi Desai. However, makers were apparently finding it difficult to cast the role of Bijlani, who is the cricketer�۪s second wife. A source told Bollywood Hungama, ���Director Tony D�۪Souza and Ekta Kapoor wanted an actress who was also a model, and one who could be stunning sensous and appealing in a very classy way. Nargis fulfils all these pre-conditions. She is on as Sangeeta�۝.

With so many stars, including Gautam Gulati as Ravi Shastri, ��Azhar�۪ definitely seems like a film worth waiting for. The film has full backing from Azharuddin himself who has been training lead actor Emaan Hashmi himself for it.
