Narcotics Control Bureau joins in Sushant Singh Rajput investigation

Earlier today, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) entered the investigation into the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. This occurred a day after Enforcement Directorate (ED) sources informed that they have evidence of Rhea Chakraborty allegedly dealing in narcotics.

Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde refuted allegations on his client using narcotics, reports Republic World. Issuing a statement, Maneshinde said that Chakraborty has never consumed drugs in her lifetime and she is ready for a blood test any time.

The ED is also probing into the financial angle of the case and it has shared the data dump analysis with the CBI on Monday. The investigation is also probing the homicide angle that has been raised by the AIIMS panel – which is reexamining the autopsy and other reports related to the star’s death.

Chakraborty’s former talent manager Jaya Saha has also been summoned. The development comes after Saha’s name surfaced in some text messages with Chakraborty in which a discussion about putting “four drops” of some substance in somebody’s drink was seen. The message, allegedly sent in late 2019 said, “Use 4 drops in tea, let him sip it… Give it 30-40 mins to kick in.”

The CBI is likely to summon Chakraborty very soon with sources hinting that she may even be arrested. The CBI will also look to interrogate Singh Rajput’s ex-house manager Samuel Miranda for the second time.
