Nandu from ‘Happy New Year’ nothing like Abhishek Bachchan?

As the big date is nearing the buzz around Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ is growing by the day. Judging from the trailers, the film’s characters are all extremely versatile. Having caught up with the media actor Abhishek Bachchan explains how his character in the film is not at all what he is like in real life.

To be seen in a ‘topri’ type of character, NDTV��reported Bachchan stating, “I play Nandu Bhide from Sangam Chawl in Mumbai. He enjoys his drink a bit too much and that makes him very entertaining and very outrageous, but a lot of fun.”

He went onto add, “Nandu is completely opposite of what I am in real life. There was nothing I could use of myself in Nandu. He is somebody that director Farah Khan and I have literally created from scratch.”

Also starring Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Deepika Padukone, Vivaan Shah and Sonu Sood, ‘Happy New Year’ will be this year big Diwali release. The film with his the silver screens on 24th October.
