Nana Patekar cleared of any sexual allegations in #MeToo movement

Nana Patekar is the latest star to be cleared of any sexual allegations in the #MeToo movement.

He joins the likes of Alok Nath and Vikas Bahl, who recently received clean chits. Times Now reports that the police has released Patekar and cleared him of any charges. The allegations of sexual harrasment were made by Tanushree Dutta after an incident on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’.

As per Dutta’s account, Patekar and choreographer Ganesh Acharya piled pressure on her to do intimate scenes with the actor in the 2008 film.

Dutta’s lawyer Nitin Satpute said he had not received any official communication from the police and that they would “challenge” the report.

In a press conference earlier, Satpute said, “There is a certain process that has to be followed by police where they issue a letter to the complainant about the same… So, these are just false rumours and we are going to take action against such rumours. Nana is playing psychological games by spreading false rumours as he wants to get clean chit from the case by the police.”
