Naming contest to be held for Imtiaz Ali’s next?

Imtiaz Ali may be crowdsourcing the title of his latest film starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan.

If the rumours are true, Ali will be hosting a contest to finalize the name of the film, tentatively titled ‘Aaj Kal’. “There will be a contest or sorts maybe for the audience, or even within the film industry, for people who can suggest an apt title for the film. It will help create the right kind of buzz about the product, and people will feel a part of the movie if they suggest a title to it,” an industry source told The Asian Age.

Ali had previously taken a similar approach with the title of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ (2017). Unable to lock down a name, Shah Rukh Khan had held an impromptu competition with a Rs. 5,000 reward for whoever’s suggestion got accepted by Ali. The winner was Ranbir Kapoor.
