After 2007’s ‘Namastey London’, the second film was being planned initially as ‘Namastey England’. However, it seemed makers wanted to make it different slightly and it therefore became ‘Namastey Canada’. However, it seems the title has now returned to its original name.
Box Office India reports that ‘Namastey England’ was a title registered by both Vipul Shah and the male star of the first film, Akshay Kumar. As this was a joint registration, Shah didn’t want to get into any kind of issue and therefore renamed the forthcoming instalment. Now, the Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer will be called ‘Namastey England’, if sources are to be believed.
As source confirmed, “The film has got back its original title Namastey England. It will go on the floor mid next year and will release next of 2018.”
