‘Naam Shabana’ banned in Pakistan after release

News has it that Taapsee Pannu’s recently released ‘Naam Shabana’ (2016) has been banned in Pakistan cinemas due to a theatre not showing the film with the edits agreed

As Deccan Chronicle reports, the film had been approved after explicit scenes had been cut out. However after a theatre in Islamabad had shown the film without the right cuts, it was promptly taken off the big screen. “It prompted the censor board to ban the screen of the movie,” a source revealed.

The source explained how some scenes that correlate to terrorism were supposed to be cut in particular. It will now no longer be shown in Pakistan.
