Mysterious channel launches on Sky EPG

A surprise addition to the Sky Digital EPG has raised questions of what the channel could be.

The EPG channel slot 838 showing a blue screen with the name ‘Jaagran’ on the EPG banner suggests its a service from ZEE Network. EPG data states programmes will start at 02:00, which in the tests over the past few days have shown content from existing ZEE UK channels.

Whilst ‘ZEE Jaagran’ exists in India, it is not yet known if the slot will definitely be used for that particular service. It could also turn out to be a holding channel for another service/broadcaster to be used in the future. It all remains to be seen.
