Muslim Ummah TV begins tests on Sky

Islamic service, Ummah TV is getting ready to launch its second channel in the UK called Muslim Ummah TV.

While the main channel will continue to broadcast in English, the new service will cater to the Urdu speaking audience. Ummah TV has been available on the Sky EPG line-up, channel 820 since August 2009 and has fared popular amongst the wide range of Islamic channels on offer.

The tests are currently broadcasting live religious output from Mecca. Regular programmes are expected to begin in the next few days.

Muslim Ummah TV is available on channel 854.
