The report in the publication confirms that Wajid had been suffering from kidney issues for a number of years but it is not yet known whether this was related to the ailment he passed away from. It’s thought that he was on a ventilator.

Wajid was last seen the music launch of Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 3’ last year but that he had been keeping away from the limelight due to his health issues. Brothers Sajid-Wajid’s first major project was ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya’ in 1998 and the duo have continued to work with Salman throughout their career.

Wajid also lent his vocals to a number of tracks such as in the films ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ in 2012, and in the ‘Dabangg’ franchise aside from the last offering.

BizAsiaLive.com would like to send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the music director.
