‘Munnabhai’ team waiting for Sanjay Dutt to start third instalment

Rumours of the third installation of the ‘Munnabhai’ franchise have been doing the rounds for some years. Now, finally news of the film actually set to happen has been confirmed and rumour has it that the makers are waiting for Sanjay Dutt to finish his time in prison.

Catching up with the media was actor Arshad Warsi who plays Dutt’s friend and sidekick in the film. Confirming the news NDTV reported Warsi stating, “Yes, ‘Munna Bhai 3’ will be made for sure. There is no doubt about that. The script is almost ready and we are waiting for him (Dutt) to come back and relax and then we will start working on it.”

Dutt was arrested and sentenced to jail on charges of possessing illegal arms in connection to the Bombay Blasts in 1993.

Warsi, will next be seen starring in a film titled ‘Guddu Rangeela’. The film will have the actor sharing the screen with Aditi Rao Hydari and Amit Sadh. Talking about his current co-stars, the actor went onto say, “I am fond of both of them. Amit is my adopted younger brother. He is a really nice guy and Aditi is like family to me and we had a blast shooting for this film. ”

Directed by Subhash Kapoor, ‘Guddu Rangeela’ will hit the big screens on 3rd July.
