Mumbai police summon Daisy Shah in Tanushree & Nana case

Tanushree Dutta a few months back accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her. In the wake of the accusation the Mumbai Police has summoned Daisy Shah to record her statement in connection with Dutta’s harassment allegations against Patekar.
Dutta has alleged that Patekar misbehaved with her on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleasss’ (2008) while shooting for a special dance number, and filed a complaint against the star, reports DNA India.
The notice, which was sent by the Oshiwira police station, mentioned that while a song from the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ was being shot, Shah happened to be there.
She was working as assistant choreographer under Ganesh Acharya. Patekar, on the other hand, has refused the allegations against him.  Patekar’s lawyer Aniket Nikam, told ANI, “All allegations against him (Nana Patekar) are false and far from the truth.”
After Dutta opened up about what she went through and shared her ordeal in the public, several other women from the entertainment and media industry have come out and spoken about the sexual harassment they have faced at their workplace. This in turn has started the #MeToo campaign in India.
Several high profile names, including Sajid Khan, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl among others have been named as alleged perpetrators.
