Mumbai Police to call upon Daisy Shah in Tanushree-Nana harassment case
Since Tanushree Dutta’s revelations about sexual harassment on the sets of ‘Horn ‘OK’ Pleassss’ (2009) allegedly by veteran actor Nana Patekar, several other Hindi film celebrities have shared their experiences of sexual abuse by seniors from the industry.
Times of India reveals that the former actress and Miss India recorded her statement with the Mumbai police earlier this week, FIRs (First Information Reports) have been lodged against choreographer Ganesh Acharya, Sami Siddiqui and Rakesh Sarang under section 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In her statement given to the police, Dutta reportedly mentioned that ‘Race 3’ (2018) actress Daisy Shah who was the assistant choreographer back then, had seen Patekar attempting to touch her during the rehearsals. It is being speculated that Mumbai Police will soon call upon Shah and take her statement on what she witnessed on the sets of ‘Horn ‘OK’ Pleassss’.
Other well-known personalities such as Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor and Alok Nath have come up in the #MeToo movement which is rapidly gaining momentum in B-Town.
