Multi-billionaire Mukesh Ambani linked with Liverpool takeover

The eighth-richest man in the world Mukesh Ambani has today been linked with buying Liverpool football club.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Ambani would be interested in the Premier League club who are willing to sell for £4bn.

Ambani, 65, already owns IPL cricket giants Mumbai Indians and helped to set up Indian football’s Super League.

The current owners of Liverpool, Fenway employed investment banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to test the water over possible investment in the club or a complete takeover.
