After working with Bollywood Film Director Tigmanshu Dhullia and Producer Rahul Mittra on Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster۪ in 2011, Mukhtar Sahota, a UK based Music Director was once again roped in to finish the Bollywood sequel Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns۪ with his unique sound.

Sahota received an unexpected call from Dhullia and Mittra last week regarding a song they required for the opening of the film. The film was due to have the final edit and cut for the Cinema release in 36 hours!

Sahota once again teamed up with vocalist Harbhajan Shera۪ and lyricist Yaadwinder Pamma۪ from Punjab, India, to immediately compose the required song, Dukh Thor Ditte Jugni۪. The turn around for this song was incredible, once the lyrics were written accordingly to the film and after I received the vocals back from Harbhajan Shera in Punjab, I had less than 24 hours to get it finished and sent back to India to the film team. Within 8 hours of me sending the finished song back to India, the song was added to the opening of the film and the film was then finalised and cut for the cinema release!!!” Said Sahota.

The Producer of the film Rahul Mittra, MD of Brandsmith Motion Pictures said, “The first Part Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster۪, had a lovely song called Akhian۪ by Mukhtar Sahota which the Director Tigmanshu Dhullia and I had loved and we were keen to work with him again in Part 2, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster returns۪ as well. After listening to this song, Dukh Thor Ditte Jugni۪, we knew we had the title track!! Even though our audio was complete for the film, our search for the opening song was still on_we were looking for something that would go with the theme of our film and the opening credits as we

used shots from Part 1 in the credits to wrap Part 1 for those who hadn۪t seen it, like a

re-cap, and this song went very well with that.”

‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’ stars Jimmy Shergill, Irrfan Khan, Mahie Gill, Soha Ali Khan and Raj Babbar. The story revolves around royal families of Maharaja۪s, it۪s a revenge drama with a dash of political satire and a double love triangle dovetailed into a dark thriller.

‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’ is out at cinemas now.
