Mukesh Bhatt’s son to direct Murder 3

Vishesh Films co-owner, Mukesh Bhatt, known for giving actors and directors their big break in Bollywood, will now launch his own son as a director.

BizAsia can reveal that Bhatt junior, Vishesh Bhatt will take on the role of director for the third installment of the ‘Murder’ franchise.

‘Murder 3’ will mark 25 years of Vishesh Films, and Mukesh says, “This film (Murder 3) is as important for us as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ was for Yash Raj Films or ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ was for Rajshri. This is a very important film for us”, speaking to IANS.

The original ‘Murder’ (2004) was directed by Anurag Basu. While ‘Murder 2’ (2011) was helmed by Mohit Suri.

‘Murder 3’ will star Randeep Hooda and Aditi Rao Hydari and will go on the floors July-end with most of the shooting taking place in Cape Town, South Africa.
