‘Mubarakan’ sequel in the works?

Anees Bazmee directorial ‘Mubarakan’ recently marked two years since release and it’s emerged that the filmmaker is looking to make a second part.

It’s thought that Anil Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz were already part of the initial discussions and Athiya Shetty and Arjun Kapoor have also been approached.

A source explained to Asian Age, “They planned to make a sequel as quickly as possible and to try and release the film by Christmas next year or the following one, depending on schedules. Sequels often do not have the entire cast in place as the heroines are changed, but this time around the girls might just get lucky”.
