Viacom18’s popular Bollywood music channel, MTV Beats has shutdown in the UK, as earlier reported on BizAsiaLive.com.
MTV Beats launched in the UK back in July 2017 and has performed well despite its niche output. However, with the UK Asian television market struggling, IndiaCast UK, the distribution company for Viacom18 channels in the UK, decided to close the channel down on Monday 30th September 2019.
MTV Beats has been available free-to-air on Sky channel 713. B4U Music will now remain the only Bollywood channel in the UK market.
