Mrigdeep Singh Lamba confirms ‘Fukrey 3’ will have a Covid-19 theme

Filmmaker Mrigdeep Singh Lamba has confirmed that the third film in the ‘Fukrey’ franchise will have elements linked to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Lamba has tweaked the initial script of the film, which will now include Covid-19 references without looking forced. It is worth noting that the first two ‘Fukrey’ films were heavy on entertainment with an underling social message.

Lamba was cited in Hindustan Times saying, “We are toying with the idea to do (something) on Covid-19 or the current situation in a humorous way. We will definitely do something about it. We will make something. We need to crack the right idea.”

‘Fukrey 3’ will have the same cast as the previous two films – Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi and Richa Chadha.
