Their debut project is a wholesome family entertainer, set to begin filming this Navratri.
This partnership marks a dual milestone: MovieVerse’s inaugural venture into Gujarati cinema and JOJO Studios’ first foray into film production. Gujarati cinema has witnessed remarkable growth over the past decade, driven by compelling storytelling and increasingly impressive box office returns, not only within Gujarat, but also in neighbouring states, attracting significant mainstream investment.
Recognising this momentum, both studios are investing in a family-centric film designed to appeal to audiences across the Gujarati-speaking belt. It promises a blend of humour, emotion, and cultural resonance, elements that have consistently underpinned Gujarati cinema’s commercial success.
Aditya Pittie, Managing Director, IN10 Media Network, commented, “Regional cinema represents the next frontier for Indian entertainment, and Gujarati films are leading the charge with content that resonates far beyond the state’s borders. Partnering with regional cinema not only builds momentum but also strengthens our portfolio by tapping into loyal and expanding audiences. Our first Gujarati film, in collaboration with JOJO Studios, reflects our belief in the market’s potential and our commitment to telling stories that are both rooted and widely appealing.”
Dhruvin Shah, Founder, JOJO Studios, added, “We’re delighted to partner with MovieVerse Studios for our cinematic debut. Gujarati cinema has evolved into a commercially viable and creatively vibrant space, making this the ideal moment for JOJO Studios to enter the film arena.
