Movies Ok set for international launch

Star TV’s family Bollywood film channel, Movies Ok is spreading its wings and launching in territories outside of India.

According to��Rajan Singh, Executive Vice President of Star TV International, the channel will next arrive in the USA market. An official announcement is expected soon after contracts are signed this week.

When Movies Ok launched in India in April this year, a source said,�ʉ��The channel will be a part of the ��OK�۪ family without the Star branding.”��

Movies OK is competing in a space which has close to 12 channels including Sony Max, Star Gold, ZEE Cinema, UTV Movies, UTV Action and ZEE Premier.

Movies Ok has no immediate plans of launching in the UK as the broadcaster is in the process of upgrading its existing channels to HD after the successful launch of Star Plus HD earlier this month.
