The #MeToo movement has picked up in Bollywood, with many women coming forward detailing their horrific experiences with Bollywood directors, actors, and producers. Although, Mouni Roy and Reema Kagti’s name came forward as a false claim. Kagti was accused of sexually harassing Mouni Roy on the sets of ”Gold’ (2018), which Roy has denied.

Konkona Sen Sharma had posted a tweet with her name and ten other filmmakers who have “taken a stand to not work with proven offenders”, which also included Kagti’s name as well. A twitter use accused Kagti of sexually harassing Roy, which she has denied and has also urged not to take away from the women who have been wronged.

On her Twitter account, Roy wrote (@roymouni), “I was not harassed on the set of Gold by anyone. Director or otherwise. I wish this maligning would stop as it not only harassing me and Reema Kagti but also taking away from women that have truly been wronged. @konkonas @rachitmehrotra.”
