Month-long comedy festival on ZEE Cinema

ZEE Cinema has temporarily scrapped its daily movie brands in September to make way for a month-long comedy festival called ‘Comedy Date at 8’.

From 1st September to 30th September (Monday to Friday), the channel has lined up new and classic comedy movies in the 20:00 band. This is the first time ZEE Cinema has done away with removing the ‘Monday Movie Mela’, ‘Tuesday Talkies’, ‘Wednesday Classics’, ‘Thursday Silver Screen’ and ‘Friday Box Office’ slots for one theme.

Some titles that have been confirmed for telecast are ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Jhankar Beats’, ‘Sandwich’, ‘No Entry’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ and ‘Dhol’.

Incidentally, rival MAX is currently broadcasting its comedy movie festival entitled ‘Comedy Is Kinng’.
