‘Money Heist’ director gives cast suggestions for Indian version of show

‘Money Heist’ (or ‘Le Casa De Papel’) is a Spanish drama series on Netflix that has gained a huge following in a short amount of time. In fact, it has fast become the #1 foreign series on the streaming platform. The show, currently in its fourth season, has gained popularity from all over the world, with people fully invested in the suspense and action shown in the series.

The story of the show revolves around a gang of criminals, led by an elusive leader, as they try and succeed in the biggest heist ever seen in Spain. The show itself contains a full mix of humour, drama, emotion, and action, reports Box Office Worldwide.

The director of the show, Alex Rodrigo, was recently asked who would he select from the list of the Indian stars should an Indian version of the show ever see the light. Rodrigo was quick to give his list. He chose Thalapathy Vijay for the role of The Professor, Shah Rukh Khan as Berlin, Ajith Kumar as Bogota and Ranveer Singh as Denver. He also went on to suggest Mahesh Babu and Suriya as Tamayo and Suarez.

Following Rodrigo’s comments, social media in India went into meltdown on Thursday night with ‘Money Heist’ the #1 trend on Twitter.
