Mohit Suri breaks stereotypes with ‘Ek Villain’
Director Mohit Suri is excited for the release of his upcoming film, Ek Villain۪. Although his Aashiqui 2۪ (2013) heroine has been repeated, the male leads have been quite surprising, considering the roles they are portraying in the film. Suri says he feels they are the perfect cast for his film and he has no qualms in breaking stereotypes.
I don۪t judge an actor by the character he plays.Sidharth (Malhotra) has struggled his way up, seen dark days. There was an angst in him that made him a perfect fit for this film. I break stereotypes, the 33-year-old director said in an interview to Mumbai Mirror.
When asked what convinced him to sign Riteish Deshmukh in a negative role, though he is popularly known for his impeccable comic timing, Suri said, When you see the film you will realise that there is no one better than Riteish for the role he plays, despite his recent image as a comic actor.
Ek Villain۪ is Mohit Suri۪s first film outside of his uncles۪ Vishesh Films۪ banner. It is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and slated for release on June 27th 2014.
