Mohit Chauhan: The preferred ��voice�۪ for Ranbir Kapoor

His lilting voice in ��Ek Tha Tiger�۪s ��Saiyaare�۪ is already making waves, and from the looks of things it seems tinsel town can�۪t get enough of Mohit Chauhan. After crooning for Ranbir Kapoor in last year�۪s acclaimed ��Rockstar�۪, makers feel that Chauhan is the singer that best suits Kapoor’s persona on screen. Word is that that the talented young singer will now be crooning for Kapoor in not one, but two of his upcoming projects ��� ��Barfi!�۪ and ��Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani�۪.

“Ranbir is very excited that Mohit will sing the title track ��Aala re barfi�۪. In the past, whenever Mohit has given his voice to Ranbir, it has been well received by the audience. The actor is very happy that the makers have taken this association ahead with this one. However all the tracks in the film will be a part of the background score,” said a source to Times of India.

Another source claimed that Ranbir’s next film ��Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani�۪, too will have Chauhan singing for the actor. “Mohit’s voice has a lingering quality that stays on your mind for long. Also in ��Rockstar�۪, his voice suited Ranbir. And now makers wish to have him sing for as many RK films as possible,” added the source.

��Barfi!�۪ is directed by Anurag Basu and produced by UTV and stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D�۪Cruz opposite Kapoor, and Karan Johar�۪s ��Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani�۪, sees him with ex flame Deepika Padukone.
