Mohammad Azharuddin gets a scene removed from his biopic

Cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin has, in the past, been accused of involvement in match-fixing. His upcoming biopic, ‘Azhar’, had an emotional scene revolving around the same, which the cricketer has had removed from the biopic.

A source revealed to Mid Day’s Hitlist team, “The scene was too upsetting for him to handle and asked for it to be removed from the film. The makers agreed to his demand. Now, the reference to the CBI enquiry has been added in the dialogues that Lara Dutta’s character mouths.”

‘Azhar’ has been directed by Tony D’Souza and stars��Emraan Hashmi in the lead role, alongside Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri, Lara Dutta and Gautam Gulati.

The��film releases on 13th May.
