Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has been mourning the loss of his father, Basantkumar Chakraborty, who breathed his last today at the age of 95.

Reports say that Chakraborty Senior was not keeping well for a long time and passed away due to kidney failure. He was in Mumbai.

Mithun, who had been in Bengaluru for a film shoot prior to the lockdown, is stuck there. He is hoping to return to Mumbai to perform his father’s last rites.
