Meta “working to restore” WhatsApp after global outage

Parent company of WhatsApp, Meta has confirmed that it is “working to restore” the messaging app after a global outage.

A spokesperson said, “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible.”

The outage was first reported just before 08:00 (UK).
