Media agency gets Industry professionals boost

An upcoming media agency, Di5 Ltd, has had a boost after it was announced that two media professionals are behind the large project.

As exclusively revealed on BizAsia.co.uk last year, Bala Iyer, former Business Head of B4U Network left to set-up this new company. He is now confirmed as the Co-Founder and Director of Di5.

Says Mr Bala Iyer, “The Indian/South Asian Diaspora is one of the largest in the world and is growing in affluence and influence.

Globally, businesses are developing to target this community.

Indian/South Asian brands are nurturing global ambitions and the Diaspora is the ideal beach head to achieve these aims. Global brands and corporates too in their quest for diversity communications are trying to address the same community. Di5 aims to be significant part of this emerging eco-system.

We will facilitate the global growth of Indian/South Asian brands and also host country brands to target the diaspora locally and globally.

We view Diaspora and diversity as two sides of the same coin.”

Joining him in this venture is Abhijit Sen, who until recently was Head of Sales with ZEE Network UK. Abhijit shares this vision and is confident that Di5 will emerge as integral player in the growth of Diaspora marketing and communication.

Di5 has raised funding from Heath Ventures, a Dubai based early stage holding company and incubator of technology and media businesses, has funded the company and it is now building a team in UK and India.

It was also announced that Di5 has entered into an arrangement with Walkwater Films to distribute the upcoming Harman Baweja movie ‘Victory’ in the UK and Europe next month.
