MATV signs up to BARB for official viewing data

Independent Asian TV broadcaster, MATV will begin reporting official viewing data after signing up with BARB, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal.

MATV, which launched as a local TV service in Leicester initially, has since expanded into a full-fledged national channel. MATV’s schedule predominantly consists of community shows with a large chunk of its output dedicated to Hindu religious programming.

The channel also airs news updates directly from India’s state broadcaster, Doordarshan, four times per day.

BARB will officially release viewing data for MATV later this month.
