Marathi film ‘Court’ is India’s official entry at Oscars

In an interesting turn of events, Marathi film ��Court�۪ has been chosen as India�۪s official entry at the Oscars. Many were thinking the official entry would be ��Baahubali�۪.

Amol Palekar, chairman of the selection jury, told Deccan Chronicle, ���The film reflects the contemporary Indian society and the film has a great creative expression�۝.

The film revolves around a court case where a gentleman is accused of singing folk songs about suicide which led to a farmer to take his own life.

��Court�۪ was screened at the London Indian Film Festival earlier this year.
