Manoj Bajpayee dropped from Padma Award list?

He’s one of the film industry’s most critically acclaimed actors, with a career that spans over 22 years. So it comes to a surprise to many that Manoj Pajpayee’s name has been apparently dropped from the list of names to receive a Padma Bhushan Award.

As SpotboyE reports, Bajpayee was inundated with congratulatory messages from friends, family and fans when the news of his selection for the award was made. However, soon after the actor reached out to all and requested to pull down their messages as he had been taken off the list.

News had it that the actor was to receive the award for his brilliant performances in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Aligarh’ (2015) and ‘Budhia Singh: Born to Run’ (2016) directed by Soumendra Padhi. Reason’s of Bajpayee not getting the award has yet to be revealed.
