Manjiri Pupala leaves Star Plus’ ‘Ishqbaaz’

After days of rumours, it has now been confirmed that Manjiri Pupala has quit Star Plus’ popular series ‘Ishqbaaz’.

The actress had been unveiled as ACP Aditi Deskhmukh with much fanfare after Surbhi Chandna’s exit. However, she was replaced as the female lead with Niti Taylor, hoping it will lure more viewers.

Confirming the developments to IWM Buzz, Pupala said, “Right now I am travelling and rejuvenating myself. Playing Aditi was a challenge and I really immersed myself in the character.”

She added, “You also need to factor in the business of numbers which have cores riding on it. Also these calls are beyond my remit to comment. The creative team understood my concerns when I spoke to them and they agreed to ease me out. I wish Gul Mam and the entire team all the best.”
