Manisha Koirala set to play Meena Kumari in biopic?

Popular actress Manisha Koirala is set to play Meena Kumari in a biopic.

Reports say that Koirala will be playing the lead tole in a film to be produced by her step-son Tajdar Amrohi. Buzz has it that the film will be directed by Shashilal Nair – incidentally the actress does not have a good rapport with the director hence the uncertainty surrounding her role in the film.

India Today reports that they had a major falling-out during the making of the controversial film ‘Ek Choti Si Love Story’ in 2002. Manisha accused the director of manipulating shots and using a body double without her consent.

Furthermore, Tajdar is keen on getting Nair on-board, who now resides in Manchester, UK.
